Fire Resistant Shutters
Similar to the ubiquitous industrial and commercial roller shutter door, fire resisting roller shutter doors are designed to resist the intense heat applied to one side of the door without excessive distortion. Tested and approved to BS476 Part 22 for up to 4 hours fire resistance, they are fitted into compartment walls to confine an outbreak of fire to the smallest area. Used throughout commerce and industry they can be supplied mechanically or electrically operated with automatic closure under controlled descent in the event of fire and come complete with interface controls for connection to fire detection, alarm and building management systems if required.
