Preston Sliding Steel Doors
Horizontal and vertical sliding doors are specified for a wide range of industrial and commercial buildings such as Warehouses, Car Parks, Paper Mills, Chemical Plants and Hospitals. They have been tested and approved in accordance with BS476 Part 8 for up to 4 hours fire resistance and are fitted into compartment walls to confine an outbreak of fire to the smallest area. Sliding on a level top track they are normally fitted with a fusible link (operating at 68°C) and weight arrangement to close the door automatically from the open position in the event of fire. They can also be supplied on an inclined rail to self close or fitted with magnetic hold back device for connection into clients smoke, heat detection or building management system.
